Fixing RR Locker Switch

Symptom: Rear Locker would engage but the dash light would remain flashing and not go solid red.

Diagnosis: Jack up all 4 wheels, hand spin tires as you engage the locker. This way you can determine that it is actually locking.
Pull out the locker switch from rear diff. As you engage the locker, push in the ball-bearing button to see if the light turns on/off.
THis is how I found out my switch was bad. (thanks to Cruiserhead Joe Somerville for the diagnosis!)

Fix: Luckily a new switch is approx $30. I stumbled across a home fix on George Scolaro's site. He fixed the Center Diff switch by hitting it w/ a hammer! It looked nearly identical to the rear switch and since I was going to replace it anyway, I gave it a shot.

- Sprayed electrical cleaner while pushing bearing in/out
- tapped the flat w/ a hammer a couple times (http://paintlab.blogspot.com/2006/01/george-scolaros-fzj80-site.html)
- the switch worked! So I saved some $ and learned a bit about the locker thanks to Joe.

If it goes bad again, no biggie. At least I extended the life of what I have.
